• Then I went for “health club with steam room.” Better, but a lot of these places want you to sign up for a full year, and I just wanted a one-off session.
• I even tried “Korean spa near me,” because I know they usually have amazing steam rooms and saunas. This was getting closer.

I spent a good chunk of time clicking on different listings. Some had no pictures, which is always a bit of a gamble. Others had reviews that were all over the place. One person would say “Best steam ever!” and the next would be like, “Facility was kinda grimy.” It’s tough to know who to believe.

The Old-Fashioned Way

Making the Trip

So, I jotted down the address they gave me. It wasn’t super close, but it wasn’t a crazy drive either. I headed over there, paid for my day pass, and finally got to that steam room. It wasn’t the fanciest place I’ve ever been to, to be honest. Pretty basic, but it was hot, it was steamy, and it did the trick. I sat in there until I felt like a melted puddle, which was exactly what I needed.
